Freedom

Keith Henson was twice arrested in Los Angeles for violating restraining orders and has filled the Internet with fanatical threats of “smashing,” “killing” and “burn[ing].” In Clearwater, he was welcomed by Sid Klein and his minions.

Sexual assault

Another “critic” welcomed to Clearwater by Chief Klein and his minions was Edward Walters. Walters was one of those who attended “hearings” in the 1980s which Klein bankrolled with taxpayer funds from his undercover “Calzone Pizza” slush fund. (See “Secret Clearwater Police Slush Fund Revealed”.)

Walters also attended “hearings” in Clark County court in Nevada – after he “wilfully, unlawfully, and feloniously sexually assault[ed]” a 16-year-old victim who was “mentally or physically incapable of resisting or understanding the nature of [his] conduct.”

Significantly, the pretended “critic” committed these offenses “under the pretense of counseling treatment.”

The missing link

     Then there is Robert Minton.

Minton was among the agitators who traveled to Clearwater in March 1996 for what was promoted as a “national protest” but instead fizzled.

Minton is far from just another “critic.” He recently admitted providing $1.25 million to a variety of crackpots to forward their anti-religious hysteria and efforts to extort huge sums of money from the Church of Scientology.

What could possibly inspire someone to give $1.25 million to fund an anti-religious campaign? And where does this money come from in the first place? None of Minton’s own explanations sensibly answer those questions. That he has changed his story at least three times since his role was discovered heightens suspicion.

Those Minton has financed include Arnaldo Lerma, an extremist militia supporter from Fairfax, Virginia, who attended the March 1996 “demonstration.” Lerma the “critic” is the subject of a permanent injunction granted by the U.S. District Court of Virginia, prohibiting him from continuing to illegally violate Scientology copyrights. Incidentally, the injunction      specifically states that the injunction has nothing to do with “freedom of speech.” It is Lerma’s history of illegal actions that were punished.

Still, according to a source, he was given “several tens of thousands of dollars” by Minton and his venomous postings in cyberspace have been used as justification by Chief Klein’s minions to continue their own “investigations.”
